Dr. Miriti Kiraitu is a specialist in Gastrointestinal and Bariatric (obesity) surgery. He is based at the Nairobi Hospital, the Karen Hospital and Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
He has broad and extensive experience in Surgery, Endoscopy, ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and hospital administration. He trains post graduate students at the University of Nairobi and the Karen Hospital. He was the HOD-Endoscopy Unit at KNH and introduced advanced Endoscopy. Currently, he is the Chairman – Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) at the Karen Hospital. He leads the Surgical unit at Kenyatta National Hospital.
He runs the Gastrointestinal Surgery, Nutrition and Bariatric (Obesity) Clinic at the Nairobi Hospital Doctors Plaza Suite 205 and Digestive Diseases Clinic at Kenya Medical Association Centre Suite 306.
Dr. Miriti Kiraitu is a leading scholar. He attended Alliance High School, holds a master’s degree in surgery from the University of Nairobi, fellowship in gastrointestinal surgery from the University of Capetown and Advanced Endoscopy from Gemeli University in Rome. He holds an MBA and Certificate in Data science and machine learning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) IDSS. He is a member of many professional and social organizations.
Dr. Muriuki Meme is a consultant in laparoscopic and gastrointestinal surgery based at Nairobi Hospital doctors’ plaza suite 205 and Kenyatta National Hospital.
His experience in healthcare spans over 16 years in healthcare. He is involved in training postgraduate and undergraduate students at the University of Nairobi. He is the chairman of the patient safety committee and clinical audit committee in the department of surgery KNH.
Dr. Muriuki Meme holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery, master’s degree in surgery, is a fellow of the college of surgeons of southern, eastern and central Africa (COSECSA), Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Surgical Society of Kenya, member of the International Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Association.
Daniella Jhuthi is a Nutritionist and a Client Relations Manager and has helped many clients with overweight and obesity achieve their desired weight and improve their health status. She is based at the Nairobi Hospital, Doctor’s Plaza, 2nd floor, Suite 205.
She is highly experienced in food Science, nutrition and meal plan preparations. A meal plan helps you choose the right foods and appropriate portions. She will guide you in preparing an individualised meal plan and also walk with you through your weight loss journey.
Daniella is widely read and travelled. She holds a degree in Nutrition Science from Atlantic International University, USA. She also holds a Bachelors in Business Management from Moi University and a Masters in Business Administration from Catholic University of Eastern Africa. She is a member of Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute, KNDI as well as the Nutrition Dietetics Academy, NDA.
Mary Kamau is an experienced Counselling Psychologist, who has helped many clients to understand their mental state, various eating disorders and behavior change therapies. She is based at the Nairobi Hospital Doctor’s Plaza.
She has a vast experience in counselling psychology. Counselling psychology is an important component in overall health and weight management. We focus on identifying various eating and mental disorders that affect your well being and nutritional status. Mary will walk with you through the journey of behavioral change and much more.
