Common Eating Disorders

  • Binge eating- Eating too much food at once.
  • Night eating- One wakes up at night in search of food.
  • Grazing- One eats for a prolonged period of time.
  • Excessive Snacking-Snacking frequently and often sugary items.
  • Anorexia- People with anorexia have abnormal body image perception. A thin or very thin person may believe they are very fat and big.
  • Bulimia-Excessive binge eating followed by purging.
  • After overeating it is followed by induced vomiting, laxative/enema causing diarrhoea.
